TOP (Japanese ver.) is the first Japanese single by South Korean boy group Stray Kids. It was released on June 3, 2020 with "TOP (Japanese ver.)" serving as the title track.

Background

"TOP (Japanese ver.)" and "SLUMP (Japanese ver.)" were digitally pre-released on April 28 and May 6, 2020 respectively.

Both songs were featured on Stray Kids' first Japanese mini album ALL IN on October 27, 2020.

Composition

“	Following the release of the Korean and English versions of the opening song "TOP" and the ending theme song "SLUMP" from the Naver Webtoon anime Tower God, which is being simulcast globally in Korea, the U.S., and Japan, the group has released the Japanese version of the album. Stray Kids, who made their Japanese debut on March 18 with the release of their best album "SKZ2020" and emerged as the next generation of boy groups, have released all of their songs ahead of the release of their first Japanese single "TOP (Japanese ver.)" on June 3. The release of "TOP -Japanese ver.-" and "SLUMP -Japanese ver.-" has been eagerly awaited by K-pop fans and anime lovers alike, and is expected to be a special gift for everyone.	”

Trivia

• The characters portrayed on the Limited Anime edition are doing Stray Kids' hand sign.
• The hi-touch and signing events for the release, scheduled for July 2020, were postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19's outbreak, but eventually took place in June 2024.
