I'll never cry because I know that it'll never change

Scars is a song recorded by South Korean boy group Stray Kids. It was digitally pre-released on October 6, 2021, then released as the first and title track from their second Japanese single Scars / Thunderous (Japanese ver.) on October 13, 2021.

It was featured on their first Japanese studio album THE SOUND as the eighth track on February 22, 2023.

Composition[]

"Scars" is a song about the hard work that Stray Kids have done since they were trainees before debut, everything they have experienced, and the tears and sweat they have shed along the way. The song expresses the members' determination and resolve to continue to carve deep and large scars in order to fulfill their dreams, even though they already have many scars. The energetic yet poignant Japanese original number was written and composed by 3RACHA members Bang Chan, Changbin, and HAN. Seungmin's performance using a stand-up microphone and the choreography of all the members trying to hold onto their dreams are also highlights.
