SKZ Family (슼둥가족 seukdunggajok) is a recurring skit by Stray Kids, in which they roleplay as members of a (dysfunctional) family.
Background[]
SKZ Family was created in 2019 for an episode of The 9th released for Chuseok. It was brought back in 2021 for a special video during STAYweeK, and once again in 2023 for two episodes of SKZ CODE for Chuseok.
It was initially a one-time concept but became a self contained drama with episodes driven by sitcom-like interactions between the members of a family. Their dynamics evolve throughout the series, even though their roles stay widely the same.
SKZ Family became the group's most popular variety content, and its plot is a topic of conversation between the fans and the members themselves. It originated a lot of fandom jokes and members dynamics that are used outside of the context of the roleplay.

- Bang Chan: The youngest son, loves his mom the most and hates his brother. Is always losing out to cousin Yongbok. He looks naive, but maybe he isn't...
- Lee Know: A tough woman but a lenient mother to Yongbok. When Yongbok gets into trouble, she tells her she got it from her father.
- Changbin: High school jock. Always steps up to keep his family together. Fell for I.N at first sight but can never make a move.
- Hyunjin: The sassy mother. Loves her own looks the most, but also loves her husband and two sons.
- HAN: A sweet but strict father (But somewhat seems polite). Loves his wife but shares his love with other people.
- Felix: Sassy and brave like his mom and aunt. Is good at counting and English but glares at people when she doesn't get her way.
- Seungmin: Survives through the attacks by Lee Know, I.N and daughter Yongbok. Always acts irritable but is actually a sweet father.
- I.N: Lee Know's younger sister and Felix' aunt. Studied abroad in the US but came home for Chuseok. A cool and hot Gen Z.
- Bang Chan: Youngest son - Cute little son (with a not so little body). He is cute but it's a bit intimidating.
- Lee Know: Aunt - She pretends she doesn't care but she follows around Seungmin after almost getting a divorce.
- Changbin: Older son - He is now in high school but he would like to become a rapper and lives every day with a hip hop spirit.
- Hyunjin: Mother - A beautiful woman. She may seem cold but she is actually quite clumsy. Characteristic: She is easy to impress.
- HAN: Father - A Husband that only knows his wife. He is very affectionate about his wife.
- Felix: Grandfather - Healthy and handsome grandpa who is hip and is an insider. He watches TikTok every night. Characteristic: Rival with Felix of Stray Kids.
- Seungmin: Uncle - He deals with his wife who is done with him after they almost got a divorce.
- I.N: Grandmother - She loves her grandkids, and she is on top of all current trends. Such an insider grandma.
- Woojin: The first son, a bear expert in law school.
- Bang Chan: The youngest son who grows up too fast.
- Lee Know: Rough but cute aunt.
- Changbin: The second son, a 15 year old insider wannabe.
- Hyunjin: Tough but lovely mom.
- HAN: Kissy dad
- Felix: Hip & sweet grandpa.
- Seungmin: Wife loving uncle.
- I.N: Grandma, full of love for children.
Plot points[]
- As Grandma I.N and Grandpa Felix went off to a water park for summer holidays in 2023, Daughter I.N and Daughter Felix appeared.
- Ever since the first family gathering, Lee Know and Seungmin are on the verge of a divorce but stay married despite everything.
- Although he loves his wife Hyunjin, HAN is cheating with Lee Know.
- Despite the passing of time, Bang Chan is still 5 years old.
Impact[]
- The skit created Lee Know and Seungmin's chemistry of a bickering married/divorced couple.
- It created a famous love triangle between Lee Know, Hyunjin and HAN.
- In 2021, Lee Know in a wig generated a lot of discussions, even outside of the fandom. "Auntie Lina" became a popular character and nickname for him.
- In 2 Kids Room in 2022, I.N suggested a new storyline, with grandfather Felix passing away and being reborn as Lee Know and Seungmin's son. The idea actually happened a year later in SKZ CODE, although reworked.[1]
