MAXIDENT is the seventh mini album by South Korean boy group Stray Kids. It was released on October 7, 2022, with "CASE 143" serving as the title track.
Background[]
On September 6, 2022, JYP Entertainment released a trailer revealing that Stray Kids would come back on October 7 with the mini album MAXIDENT.[1]
Songs off the album ("3RACHA", "TASTE", "Can't Stop" and "CIRCUS (Korean ver.)" as well as the mashup video were revealed early through the showcase "Seoul Special (UNVEIL 11)" that took place on September 17 and 18 at KSPO DOME.
On October 3, they created "Stray Kids Love Line", a phone number that people could call in order to get voice messages from the members. It served as promotion in line with the theme of the title track and sending codes for love. The number was "833-SKZ-1432" with the country calling code 1.[2]
Stray Kids held an online press conference the day of the release.[3] They promoted the album with the title track "CASE 143" on music shows from October 13 to October 23, and held a mini fanmeeting after the pre-recording of Show! Music Core on October 22.

The album includes the title track "CASE 143" which expresses universal emotions such as love in a more "MANIAC" way. All members, including 3RACHA, are named in the credits of the new album, melting their distinct personalities and authenticity. In addition, leading domestic and international writers such as VERSACHOI, Hong Ji Sang, and earattack added their touches to complete another well-made album. With their high-quality mini-album MAXIDENT and title track "CASE 143", they are expected to bring another "huge event" to the K-pop music market. |

- MAXIDENT surpassed 2,370,000 pre-orders, making it the third most pre-ordered Kpop album of all time as of its release.[4]
- MAXIDENT sold 2,163,349 copies in the first week on Hanteo Chart, and 2,748,722 copies in the first month on Circle Chart. In December 2022, it earned a 3x Million (3,000,000+ sales) certification by KMCA.
- MAXIDENT debuted at No.1 on Billboard 200, their second album in a row to do so.[5]
- Stray Kids won Album of the Year (Daesang) with MAXIDENT at the 2022 Asia Artist Awards, as well as Best Album (Bonsang) at 2023 Golden Disc Awards.
- MAXIDENT ranked #4 on 2022 IFPI Global Album Sales, ranking the biggest albums of the year based on the number of units sold accross all physical and digital formats.[6]

- The "CASE 143" mini-fanmeeting was the first one since "Levanter" on December 14, 2019, due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
