I am NOT is the debut and first mini album by South Korean boy group Stray Kids. It was released on March 25, 2018 with "District 9" serving as the title track.

Background

I am NOT was announced on March 5, 2018 with the announcement of the group's debut showcase UNVEIL "Op. 01 : I am NOT". It took place on March 25 at the Jangchung Arena in Seoul. The album was released on March 26.

The album was promoted on music shows with the title track "District 9" from March 29 to April 25, along the song "ROCK" for four performances. The song "Mirror" was used for follow-up promotions from April 26 to May 6. The group held their first mini fanmeeting after the pre-recording of "District 9" on Show! Music Core on March 31.

On September 14, a Taiwanese special edition of the album was released, including all songs from Mixtape and a DVD.

Composition

“	Stray Kids revealed their ambitions by filling the entire 8-track of their first mini album with self-written songs. The album's self-aware title, "I am NOT", is a prelude to the musical identity they will develop over time. On their debut album "I am NOT", Stray Kids sing about their real situation and what they really want to say.
