Composition[]
“ | The name SKZHOP HIPTAPE combines the group's abbreviation, "SKZ," with "HIP-HOP," and the album introduces a "new genre" unique to Stray Kids. Its first installment, "合 (HOP)," symbolizes the unity of all eight members while also referencing the English word "HOP" from the hip-hop genre.
The album includes the title track "Walkin On Water", as well as "Bounce Back," "U (feat. TABLO)," and "Walkin On Water (HIP ver.)". Bonus tracks feature solo performances from their world tour, showcasing the diverse talents of each member: "Railway" (Bang Chan), "Unfair" (Felix), "HALLUCINATION" (I.N), "Youth" (Lee Know), "So Good" (Hyunjin), "ULTRA" (Changbin), "Hold my hand" (HAN), and "As we are" (Seungmin). Featuring old-school elements, clever water-inspired sound effects, and assertive lyrics like "You underestimated us, and now you're out of breath trying to keep up," the track exudes Stray Kids' signature energy. As 2024 comes to a close, Stray Kids are set to cap off an extraordinary year with the release of SKZHOP HIPTAPE "合 (HOP)" and the title track "Walkin On Water," promising yet another unique and captivating experience for their global fans. |
