They say time solves everything, but sometimes time catches up with you. Me chasing my dreams, and time chasing after me to catch me. I wonder if I'm the one being caught in the tag game.
Official Introduction
'Chronosaurus' is a mouthful. We wanted to separate the two words—it's 'Kronos' and also 'saurus.' But with the 'saurus' part...there used to be a dinosaur called Kronosaurus, but with a K. We really wanted to combine those two words, because Chronos means the god of time in Greek, and Kronosaurus was this really scary predator back in the dinosaur ages. We meant to say that time can sometimes be the scariest creature. While we're chasing our dreams, time is chasing after us. So, is it that we're running away from time, or are we just desperately trying to reach our goals?

When we were wrapping up our project in China, we were very limited with time before heading out to Korea for our sessions with Stray Kids. The original demo for “Chronosaurus” was titled, “Desperado”, because there was a sense urgency and desperation as we were finishing the song. You can almost feel the panic when you hear the clock ticking and the mention of time! That was the vibe we were going for with those sounds. [...] Once we had the drum tones and percussive elements in place, the song and impact felt right. The chorus vocals needed something to drive the melody for it to sound more like an anthem, and the drum arrangement was a big part of that. My favorite moment was feeling all of these things together while we played back “Chronosaurus” at the JYP studio.

Time — catching up to you, leaving you behind — is personified on "Chronosaurus," a highlight of Stray Kids' March EP Clé 1: MIROH. A play on "Chronos," the Greek word for "time" (leader Bang Chan is a self-proclaimed mythology nerd), and "Kronosaurus," a prehistoric predator[2], the title is apt for this haunting track, a sophisticated mix from the group's powerful rap line and their expressive vocalists. Stray Kids have been moving at a breakneck pace since their debut in early 2018, and "Chronosaurus" — produced by members Bang Chan, Changbin, and HAN — is a candid look at how truly taxing the creative process can be.
